Finally, the big reveal has emerged as IARA has announced the remaining list of the nominees for their award ceremony tomorrow night.
Arnold Oceng and Arinze Kene are shortlisted for the Best Actor category for their roles in films 'A United Kingdom' and 'The Pass'; competing against Anthony Boyle ('Harry Potter And The Cursed Child'). Meanwhile, we see Amber Riley ('Dreamgirls') and Kiran Sonia Sawar ('Murdered By My Father') up for the Best Actress Award.
Nathan Bryon, Thea Gajic and Chewing Gum's Olisa Odele are nominated for the Emerging Actors categories. Thea Gajic's work in her short 'Run' has earned her another nomination from IARA in the Best Emerging Actress Category alongside Lucy Kay ('Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat'), Bobby Rainsbury ('BBC ‘Rillington Place'), Joanne Thomson ('ITV ‘In Plain Sight') and Seraphina Beh ('BBC EastEnders'). Odele has a second nomination for the Best Young Actor in TV/Film/Drama for his role in Coel's hit comedy show 'Chewing Gum' alongside Shone Romulus (The Intent), Danny Walters (BBC-EastEnders), Daniel Ezra (BBC-The Missing) and Louis Payne (CBBC-Wolfblood). The same is said for Kiran Sonia Sawar, who's also up for Best Young Actress in Film/TV/Drama.
Hollyoaks' Duncan James is nominated for Best Actor in TV/Drama with Charles Venn (BBC Casualty), who won Best Actor last year. The category sees Samuel Barnett who's up for Best Actor, get a second nomination for his role in 'Dirk Gently’s Holistic Detective Agency'. BAFTA winning actress Wunmi Mosaku is nominated for her role in original drama 'Damilola: Our Loved Boy' with Terry Pheto (BET-Nelson Mandela), Stefanie Martini (ITV-Prime Suspect 1973), Amanda Redman (ITV-Good Karma Hospital) and Niamh Walsh (SKY1-Jamestown).
Nollywood's OC Ukeje is among the final top four for new category Best International Actor with Quentin Dolmaire, Adrian Titieni and Algee Smith, who was in the New Edition biopic for BET. For Best International Actress you have Nse Ikpe Etim, Maria Dragus, Catherine Frot and Terry Pheto, whose second nomination is for her role in the film 'A United Kingdom.'
Femi Oyeniran & Nicky Slimting Walker see themselves nominated for their indie action film 'The Intent' with John Donnelly and his work 'The Pass' in the Best Original Screenplay category; making them up against Ulla Fudge and her film 'Hard & Soft'. Both films have a third nomination in Best Feature/Independent Film whilst Chris Foggin's 'Kids In Love' has two.
Sam Jones gets a nomination for his award-winning work 'Lifeline' with Charlotte Reagan 'Standby', which had a screening at Screened Nights last year and gained huge recognition from the British National Film Institute. Another film that's nominated is 'The Alan Dimension' by Jack Clinch.
We see 'The Barbershop Chronicles', 'Rent The Musical', 'If We Got Some More Cocaine I Could Show You How I Love You' and 'Harry Potter And The Cursed Child' flying high for the world of theatre. Layton Williams is nominated for his dance performance for Bruce Guthrie's 'Rent the Musical'. Inua Ellams is up for Best Playwright (for 'The Barbershop Chronicles.') and Anthony Boyle will be competing against established actor Nicholas Pinnock and Adam J Bernard for Best Male Stage Performance.
