We’ve seen all of the images of the live action on set, cast pictures, selfies…
IT’S OFFICIAL. That ‘iBoy’ is going to be a modern superhero original film starring an youthful cast that many of you will be familiar with.
Names such as Maisie Williams (‘Games of Thrones’), Mckell David (‘Montana’, ‘Damilola: Our Loved Boy’, ‘Urban Hymn) and ‘Peaky Blinders’ Jordan Bolger (‘Don’t Knock Twice’ & ‘Will You Kill Me Now?’) should make you a little starry-eyed.
But hold your horses…there are still more names to wizz. Bill Milner who appeared in ‘X-Men: First Class’ is also among the casting lineup alongside Charley Palmer Rothwell, who will be appearing in upcoming films ‘Beast’ and ‘My Name Is Lenny’. Samuel Kyi Ankrah, who was in ‘Sapiens’ by R.M Moses and ‘Brotherhood’ will be featured in this book-to-film adaptation. There’s even more names to recognise, such as Shaquille Ali-Yebuah (‘Legacy’ & ‘Dixi’) and Armin Karima (‘Waterloo Road’ & ‘Fearless’).
Based of the sci-fi novel by Kevin Brooks, Joe Barton (‘Humans’, ‘The Ritual’ and ‘Cuffs’) writes the official screenplay. Adam Radnall is the director. The film follows a teenage boy who develops mutant-artificial-intelligent powers after fragments of his smartphone are embedded into his head after a serious incident.
‘iBoy’ is OUT NOW via Netflix! So go and check that.
