Rachael Yamagata has four special exclusive gig dates across the UK, ending her four-day tour in Islington Assembly Hall London.
With her new album ‘Tightrope Walker’ earning praises from the likes of the Guardian, The Independent viewers will get the chance to see the singer live on these four venues: The Eagle (Salford), Sneaky Petes (Edinburgh) and the Brudenell (Social Club). Inspired by the French Tightrope Walker Phillipe Petit, Yamagata enlists the top Grammy winning-producers, which includes Kevin Salem of Yo La Tengo and The Roots’ Owen Biddle . Differentiating from her last album ‘Cheesecake’, Yagamata hones in on ‘Tightrope Walker’ is an album of encouragement, uplift, and chiming in the spirit of the French Petit…who, by the way, was her neighbour whilst the album was underway!
Her music video ‘Let Me Be Your Girl’ has earned 85,000 views. That being said, after exploring her embracing her own individuality, the singer answers her own question:
“Why keep going? Why write? Why persevere? “If you’re thinking of quitting. “I have fully stepped into my power as an optimist, an entrepreneur, a writer, producer and spirited badass. That is my ‘why.’”
