Canadian Indie group The Dears releases their brilliantly crafted track 1998 accompanied by the announcement of their ten dates UK headline Tour.
1998 is a track taken from The Dears forthcoming seventh studio album ‘Times Infinity Volume Two’. This new release gives us an old school alternative rock feel getting us ready for the upcoming tour and Album.
The nervy jangle track ‘1998′ showcases The Dears evolution – even though the track is based on a happy story (that actually happened), it still carries with it drops of old school dears. The track reaches its climax towards the end before drawing out to the sounds of an electric guitar. This is a brilliant offering from Murray LightBurn and Natalia Yanchak.
The Dears ‘Times Infinity Volume two’ album is a follow up to ‘Times Infinity Volume One’ which released early this year receiving nothing my applause. Speaking about the final mixing sessions for Volume two, founding member Murray Lightburn states that it was a 20 hours’ job that took a day stating, ‘I worked deliriously towards finishing Volume Two.’
Now that the album is complete and set to release July 14th, 2017, The Dears are gearing up to hit the road with their ten dates UK headline Tour kicking off in October at Oxford Academy 2. Tickets are on sale now via Alttickets.
