AfroRepublik is set to be one of the biggest music events to date in the world of Afrobeats, and so far we have the heavyweights Mr. Eazi, Yxng Bane and Wizkid fitting the bill and Tiwa Savage, Maleek Berry, Tekno and Not3s added to the lineup.
Yxng Bane has been featured on VEVO, NME and the BBC Music as the new sound for 2018 that has developed a following for his tracks such “Rihanna”. He recently did a single with maven Maleek Berry called “Corner”. Wiz Kid gained a major breakthrough from the African market after launching into the scene with tracks such as “Bad Guys”. The producer and artist have a strong CV that has seen him worked with the likes of Drake, Yeezy, Tiwa Savage, Patoranking, R2Bees, and Shaydee. Mr. Eazi last year curated his own festival to celebrate everything Afrowave and beat last year at Roundhouse and has recently worked with Lotto Boyz and M.O on “Bad Vibes”.
Maleek Berry has already had a sold out headline show and recently had his European Tour. He’s already worked with the likes of Geko and YCee, with his music visuals exceeding into the millions via Youtube. Not3s has become a hot favourite in the world of Afrobeats also, with anthems “Aladdin” and “Addison Lee” becoming top anthems that allowed the young lad make his breakthrough. He’s worked with the likes Mabel, SNG and recently Knucks. Tiwa Savage became one of the early players in the world of Afrobeats and has seen her fanbase grow throughout the past years whilst Tekno is the second generation of a breakthrough thanks to social media.
