Taking us back to the days of 90s Motown resample remakes is Danielle Bellas and her new single “Take A Minute”. Despite appreciating Jud Mahoney (the producer) for “…the 90s R&B and Motown sound…”, many would say that this track parallel with 00s R&B, as it has the classic Motown influence of the violins that has been carefully mixed with the nineties bass.

After the singer received a whirlwind of success from her last single “Starship”, Bellas takes things slow with her intricate motivational single, with co-written credits going to Natalie DeLucia (Michael Jackson, Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis, Brandy and Britney Spears). Bellas reveals that the song “…can apply to anyone with a dream and no idea of how they are going to achieve it and reminds us to not stress or overthink it and just take the first step – the rest will follow.” It’s the second single from her upcoming album, and continues to be inspired from her influences such as Tamia and Brandy.
