Diives is back again with a fierce debut mixtape offering from North Wales singer/mc/producer.

The 8 track mixtape ‘Something To Climb (part I) makes for a very impressive debut project from Diives as he presents us his very own rendition of 2017’s fan favourites track ‘Lay Me Bare’ from Stormzy’s Gun Signs & Prayers album. On this track, we get to hear a very honest and sincere Diives as opposed to his opener cover of Whippin Excursion which was one of the soundtracks of 2017.

Something To Climb (part I) gives us a very versatile Diives as he shows off his lyricism on various tempos and rhythms as he combines dark alternative pop melodies with grime instrumentals from the likes of Stormzy, Wiley , and Giggs. If this isn’t versatile enough, Diives takes a more acoustic approach on the mixtapes closing track Chinatown as he gives us his own take on a Liam Gallagher track and it surprisingly amazing.

With his previous release single ‘Stayed Too Long’ being championed by BBC Introducing, Gigslutz and more, this debt offering is set to take Diives to new heights.
