On Thursday 2nd February, singer/producer/hitmaker Donae’O teamed up with Pardon My Blog and MVMNT SHFT to host a charity event at The Notting Hill Arts Club to celebrate the Hitmakers Birthday and recent signing to Island Records.
As the night kicked off, DJ Rampage and Cartier kept guests entertained playing some old-school Garage followed by a live set from Viper and B Live.
Mr Man- A-Wear-Black himself arrived at around 11.30 PM (dressed in black of course0 as he paraded around the room greeting guests. The all black themed party saw the likes of GRM Daily’s very own Elles, Jammer from Boy Better Know and D Double E all out to celebrate and support such good cause. Other partygoers included the cast of YouTube’s online chat show BKChat LDN.
Everyone looked like they were having such a good time; especially after Donae’O took to the stage for a very special live PA performing some of his hit songs such as ‘Party Hard’, ‘Devil In A Blue Dress’ before sending the crowd crazy with the bounce remix of ‘Black’. Guests couldn’t get enough as they requested for wheel-ups.
This then followed with a DJ set from Charlie Sloth who carried the guest through the night with his legendary set of bangers. This was undoubtable a birthday bash to remember as all proceedings went towards the ACLT charity (raising funds for bone marrow and blood donation) as well as Road To Freedom (aiding refugees fleeing from war-stricken countries).
It was such a pleasure being part of such an amazing celebration and we wish Donae’O all the best with his new venture.
