This year saw the likes of 'Shape of Water', 'Dunkirk' and 'Get Out' awarded for their originality screenplays, interesting characters, and innovative scriptwriting.
Elicit Pictures has advertised via BBC's Writer's Room to seek out short films scripts that'll not only see the team professionally develop the script into a short film (directed and produced by the team at Elicit Pictures) but also premiered at the BAFTA HQ in London's Piccadilly and film festivals.
The script needs to be between one to ten pages, and only two scripts out of the millions of entries will be professionally developed by the team. It must be within one location with a minimal amount of characters. Silimar to the formats done by Charlotte Reagan 'Standby', R.M Moses 'Before We Crash', '1745' by Morayo Akandé, 'Work' by Aneil Karia Scott and O'Donnell as well as winning short film for BAFTA 2018 - 'Cowboy Dave' (Colin O'Toole & Jonas Mortensen).
In other words the shorter the better. However, you still have to use originality with your script! Therefore, remember to think outside the box and follow the conditions that Elicit Pictures is asking for. Interested? Then please submit your work to email@example.com
The deadline for submission is the 30th of April.
