For those of you who love animated and short films, why not get down to the Encounters Film and Animation Film Festival next week starting the 20th September in Bristol?
The Encounters film festival is a stepping stone for artists who want to get their short films and animated films pushed for awards season. A competition festival as it stands, the festival is a gateway to such prestigious awards as the Oscars, BAFTA‘s, Cartoon D‘or as well as the European Film Awards. Every year, winners at the Encounters Festival Grand Prix are put forward for consideration in the Short Films category at the Oscars, and so to put it simply, you’re almost absolutely certain to hear more about films that are a success at this festival!

The festival is designed to promote up and coming unique filmmakers and artists, as well as being a meeting point for those in the industry. As a spectator, you’re bound to see some fantastic memorable work.
This year, as well as the International Competition which showcases short films from across the globe, there will also be panel discussions, workshops and masterclasses from leading figures in the short film and animated film industry. If you want to learn, develop or just enjoy some fantastic films, then get down to Bristol this September for the Encounters Film Festival! It runs from the 20th-25th of September.
