It may be raining for now, but get geared for the Summer, as Film4 has officially announced their open-air cinema, which will be taking place between the 9th-22nd August; placing emphasis on the films of dreams, fantasies, reveries, nightmares and nocturnes.
Already announced for the line-up are 'Inception', 'Labyrinth', 'Call Me By Your Name' and 'Blue Velvet'. Already and as we can see, there's already an eclectic line-up of classics and contemporary films that have been carefully curated to cover these two weeks. The message here with these films is the exploration and power of the mind. If you missed the chance to see 'Call Me By Your Name' starring Timothée Chalamet and Armie Hammer, then my friend, YOU CAN'T AFFORD to skip this opportunity to see it again!
Not only will critically acclaimed films will have their shine, but Somerset House has commissioned a short film that also explores the notion of dreams ahead of each featured film for each night by performance artist Mel Brimfield and filmmaker Ewan Jones Morris. Plus there'll be a juxtaposition series of talks, panel discussions and exhibitions happening also.
