Hip-hop collective, Foreign Beggars have made a return and they’re coming back harder than ever. The collective which is made up of Orifice Vulgatron, Metropolis and DJ Nonames have returned with their new track, Toast featuring Alix Perez, Dizmack and Izzie Gibbs. They’ve also announced their first solo album since their 2002, 2 2 Karma which is set for release in 2018.
The beat for Toast is provided by one of the UK’s most forward-thinking producers, Alix Perez while Orifice Vulgatron and Metropolis showcase their unique flows. The track is then perfectly complimented by grime MC’s Izzie Gibbs and Dizmack who each give a taster of what is to come.
Expected for release February 2018, the highly anticipated solo album will feature artists and MCs such as Kate Tempest, Kojey Radical, OG Maco, Izzie Gibbs, Dizmack, Lord Laville, Scorezayzee, Dag Nabbit, Josh Bevan, Prime Cuts, Zu and Black Josh. The project will also feature producers such as Ivy Lab, Hyroglifics, Flux Pavilion and Feed Me.
The journey all started in 2002 when the collective formed, since then they have recorded five studio albums as follows: Asylum Speakers, Stray Point Agenda, United Colours of Beggattron, The Uprising and I AM LEGION. Throughout their career in the music scene, Foreign Beggars have built a steadfast reputation as one of the UK’s most versatile, creative and prolific acts through a continuing desire to push the envelope. By the very nature of the group and the array of featured artists, their upcoming album, 2 2 Karma promises to be a sonically unique and skilful blend of the two worlds, in which they combine multiple genres such as hip hop, underground bass and electronic.
As a hip hop based group, they have continued to remain true to their roots by sounding original and never American. They stay representing UK underground music.
