The countdown to the IARA Awards has begun, and we feeling the hype for the official awards dedicated to the arts, theatre, television and music.
The best new music acts sees Ms Banks, Zak Abel, Geovarn and Tom Grennan up for the prestigious wings trophy.
Ms Banks will be performing at this year’s Silver Hayes stage at Glastonbury. Building upon the success of her ‘New Chapter’ EP, the rapper has released two smashing tracks ‘Get Loose’ and ‘OMG’. Plus, she was the supporting act for Cardi B’s one-night-only gig in London.
Zak Abel was on our #NWDHotlist for 2016, where he just released his sophomore EP ‘One Hand On The Future’. From then onward, he released videos for tracks ‘Everybody Needs Love’ and ‘Unstable’. Following the release of his official album ‘Only When We’re Naked’, the singer had two sold-out headline show dates at the Scala. To date, he was recently at the Great Escape Festival and has done an exclusive session with So Far Sounds.
Geovarn was last seen on the MOBO UnSung Tour in association with ILUVLIVE, where he was among the top ten finalists to showcase at exclusive music hotspots across the UK. The artist makes a comeback with new tracks ‘Say So’. ‘Ride’ and ‘Warming Up’. If that wasn’t something not to buzz about, then be prepared to get excited about his upcoming EP. which by the way, he’s currently working on.
Tom Grennan performed alongside Isaiah Dreads and Zulu at the Roundhouse Rising Festival in February. He’ll be heavily on the festival circuit this Summer and has a headline UK tour this Autumn. His EP ‘Release The Breaks’ is available to purchase now.
