2017 has been an amazing year for the UK Music scene as we saw the rise of many talented artists as has gone on to shape the sound of the UK and paving the way for other amazing talents to emerge onto the scene.
With the year approaching an end, Liberty Music PR as share it’s 2018 Ones to Watch list and it is packed with an array of talent who will take on the baton and continue to wave the UK flag higher in 2018.
Starting with experimental R&B singer-songwriter Noita who has had a successful 2017 having released her debut EP Pink Noise which caught the eyes of the likes of Earmilk, This Song Slaps and Purple Sneakers. If this wasn’t enough, Noita went on to collaborate with German production duo Konsequence adding her vocals to their Studio City EP. The singer-songwriter is already gearing up for a 2018 release which will bring the arrival of her sophomore EP Blood & Honey.
Following on from this amazing songstress is Kent-based singer and producer Harley Light who is also known as Land Before Bedtime. This year we got to enjoy the singers Empty Bottle, Broadway and Flex singles as well as his collaboration with viral sensation and dancehall artist M dot R. 2017 saw the singer/producer receive recognition from Unsigned Music Awards as well as catching the attention of Abbie McCarthy which lead to him Harley being placed as BBC Introducing’s Track of the Week. With this array of success, we can only expect more in the new year.
Jake Thomas Turnbull is another name you should familiarize yourself with another London-based singer-songwriter who took the long hard road to stardam. Breaking into the bustling music scene her in London, Jake has gone on to release nothing but amazing folk-pop music throughout this year and appearing on ItsAllIndie before closing his run of success with a successful gig at Proud Camden. For Jake Thomas Turnbull, 2018 is set to be a momentous year. Kicking this off with two ready-go tracks followed by an night of good music at Hoxton Square Bar & Kitchen on February 2nd 2018 ( a date for your diary!)
Liberty Music PR closes their list of Ones to Watch with 18-year-old singer-songwriter ROE from Northern Irish. The youngster has had an eventful year as her magical pop melodies allowed her to grace the BBC Introducing stage at this year’s Glastonbury Festival leading ROE to becoming the voice of her hometown Derry’s tourism campaign. 2018 is already looking promising for the rising singer-songwriter who will make an appearance at Eurosonic Festival in January before hitting the road in February touring Ireland before arriving in the UK in Autumn 2018. Despite all these exciting shows, ROE is also set to release her debut album in the second quarter of 2018 with single Wasted.Patient.Thinking dropping end of January.
