Passenger releases another country single from his new album “Runaway” that is set to be released on August 31st.
Before that time, you can watch the visuals for the track, which sees him in America singing with a guitar. There’s more exciting news for fans – as Passenger (real name Mike Rosenberg) will be embarking on a massive world tour; with the European leg starting in Edinburgh on August 29th with support from Lucy Rose ending in Paris on September 30th. Already certain dates have sold out.
It’s very weird that we’re seeing a Brighton native taking the world by storm, but an extraordinary achievement from the artist, as Passenger has already made it into record books. His 2016 album “Young As The Morning Old As The Sea” went straight to the top at the UK album charts. In terms of streams, Passenger is in the bills when it comes to that with his last album “All The Little Lights” going platinum in 11 countries.
The singer confesses that the track was “…record a few times and for whatever reason it just wouldn’t work.” This sense of frustration actually what the song is about, “…trying to find the right person, which is probably something that everyone can relate to.” The visual, which was recorded by Jarrad Seng during a three-week road trip is all part of the promo ahead of the big international tour that Passenger is about to embark on.
