After finding success working with Hans Zimmer’s team on the Assassins Creed theme song and performing at the BAFTA’s, Taylor has finally shared her first solo effort in introspective track My Mouth.
Both commanding and meditative, Taylor expresses her statement powerfully without preaching, explaining “It’s about people not talking and I think we’re all guilty of getting caught up in that, in relationships, at work, wherever. It says something powerful without over-talking or over-shouting it.”
The song produced by Jonathan Quarmby, who has worked with the likes of Jacob Banks and Mercury Award Winning Artist Benjamin Clementine, is inspired by classic ballads by the likes of Kate Bush but has a distinct modern pop edge that gives it character.
Look out for much more form Riva Taylor in the future.
