Ghana’s Stonebwoy recruits Khalia for his reggae-afro inspired ‘Hold On Yuh’.
The music video comes after the hit ‘Falling Again’ with Kojo Funds and the release of his anticipated album ‘Epistles of Mama’, which has a spring of reggae and afrobeat flavoured and spiced up to perfection. The double album has in total 24 songs – 12 reggae and 12 afrobeats. With these two music genres contributing to the emerging sound of Afrowave, Stonebwoy gets the biggest names on his third album. These include familiar names such as Sean Paul, Sarkodie, Burna Boy and Kabaka Pyramid.
‘Epistles of Mama’ is an album that has the spirit of the Mother. Stonebwoy channels this by dedicating his album to his own mum, whilst channeling the nurturing spirits that all mothers share. For once and finally, the artist has placed two genres on one double filled packed album. Both reggae and afrobeat have influenced Stonebwoy ALOT; bringing both lovers of the two genres to the biggest union and music marriage yet.
