Maleek Berry has done it again with sold-out London show, which will start his massive UK/Europe tour that’ll seen him take over Birmingham, Manchester, Amsterdam, Paris, Dublin, Frankfurt, Hamburg, Copenhagen, Berlin, Brussels and Oslo.
Now the EP that you’ve been waiting for – “The First Daze of Winter”. A compliment to the previous EP “Last Daze of Summer”. Will we be looking into the “The First Bliss of Spring Then”…? The EP continues the artist and producer love for reggae, Afrobeat, R&B and Hip Hop. “Been Calling” has already smashed records after having over 10 million streams. With his UK/European tour commencing next month Maleek Berry has done it again with this second EP that continues the ‘…emotional rollercoasters we all go through in relationships.’ Besides the vulnerability and ‘wearing my heart on my sleeve’, Berry has become the maven for his keen smooth sleekness of creating catchy melodies that are not only catchy but groovy to dance to. Electic yet vibrant. Berry has developed his own sound that compliments the current Afrowave. It’s less emphasis on the base, yet you can hear the silent influence of Afrobeat within the tracks.
The EP may not have featured artists, but it’s definitely one to place on repeat. Having being in the game since 2015 with breakout single “For My People” ft Sneakbo, 2018 is going to be a year that we’ll see him blow up after being among The Guardian’s artist to watch for this year.
