With IamDDB leading the way with her fuse with trap and jazz, Toronto’s Krispil presents her debut release ‘Let t Slide’.
The accompanying ‘Let It Slide’ music video showcases the artist’s “…sporadic personality and goofy side.” The track deals with conflict and ‘…can be applied to anything you battle with.’ The track shows the sporadic personality and her deep soulful recording voice. This could be seen as a pop song, but with the high melodies of jazz and her rapping versatility, ‘Let It Slide’ leans towards the sound of R&B/Soul, but with a twist, since we’ve seen the return of jazz embraced by many young artists of today.
On releasing the track, the singer reveals to us that she’s a “… self-fought person…” and she has used an advantage towards her music. Her music video was produced by a female-led crew Claire and Gizelle of NMTE Productions.
